Crispy chicken pieces coated in a garlic honey butter glaze for a fast, crowd-friendly dinner with takeout-style flavor.
This crispy honey butter chicken delivers takeout-style texture with a sweet-savory garlic glaze. It works well as a shared dinner and pairs easily with rice or vegetables.
The first fry cooks the chicken through; the second fry builds a lasting crust. A short butter, soy, and honey glaze coats quickly without turning heavy.
Tossing right before serving keeps the best contrast between crisp coating and sticky sauce.
Set batter and glaze before frying so the process stays quick. Keep oil temperature steady between batches and drain chicken on a rack, not paper towels.
Warm glaze gently and toss only enough to coat.
Best eaten fresh, but leftovers can be reheated in the oven or air fryer to restore texture.
Protein swaps: chicken breast or tofu. Vegetable sides: broccoli, green beans, spinach, peas, mushrooms, onions, courgette, frozen mixed veg, or tenderstem broccoli.
One serving is one-quarter of the recipe.
Training day: add 50 g cooked rice or one piece of fruit.
Rest day: pair with extra vegetables and a smaller rice portion.

Vegetable swaps: broccoli, green beans, spinach, peas, mushrooms, onions, courgette, frozen mixed veg, or tenderstem broccoli.
For the best finish, keep the glaze glossy rather than thick and sticky. Toss the chicken only right before serving so the coating stays crisp at the edges instead of softening too early.
