🎄 No-Bake Chocolate Fudge Bars

Looking for a last-minute holiday treat? This silky, truffle-like chocolate fudge takes just minutes to prep—no oven, no stress. Perfect for edible gifts, bake sales, or just stashing in the fridge for midnight cravings.

You only need two base ingredients: sweetened condensed milk and dark chocolate. Fold in walnuts and cherries for festive flair, chill, slice, and done!

🧂 Ingredients

Base Fudge

  • 340g (2 cups) dark chocolate chips or chopped dark chocolate
use any baking chocolate, ~55–70% cocoa
  • 397g (1 can) sweetened condensed milk

Mix-ins (optional)

  • 100g (1 cup) walnuts, coarsely chopped
  • 150g (1 cup) maraschino or glacé cherries, chopped

Finish

  • 10g (2 tbsp) unsweetened cocoa powder, for dusting

🍫 Instructions

Prep Pan

  1. Line a loaf pan (8x4in / 20x10cm) with parchment or cling film, leaving overhang for easy lifting.

Cook Fudge

  1. Add condensed milk to a saucepan over low heat. Tip in the chocolate.
  2. Stir gently until fully melted and smooth—keep the heat low to avoid seizing.
  3. Fold in walnuts and cherries if using.

Set & Finish

  1. Scrape the mixture into your lined pan and smooth the top.
  2. Chill until firm, about 1–2 hours.
  3. Lift out the slab, peel off the lining, and dust with cocoa.
  4. Slice into 16 bars. Enjoy chilled or gift-wrapped!

💡 Tips

  • Keep heat very low—chocolate can seize quickly.
  • Use a fully lined pan so the slab lifts out cleanly.
  • For neat bars, warm your knife in hot water, dry it, and wipe between slices.
  • Mix it up with roasted peanuts, almonds, or dried cranberries.

❓ FAQ

Can I use milk or white chocolate?
Yes—just reduce mix-ins slightly. Milk and white chocolate are softer when set, so chill completely before slicing.

How long does it keep?
Up to 7 days refrigerated in an airtight container. Or freeze for 2–3 months and thaw in the fridge.

Why did my chocolate seize?
Chocolate hates water and high heat. Keep it dry, stir gently, and melt it slowly over low heat.

Truffle vibes talaga after cocoa dusting. Not too sweet—just right with dark chocolate.
