A bright cranberry sorbet with sharp fruit flavor and a clean, refreshing finish suited to holiday meals and palate-cleansing desserts.
Cranberry makes a strong sorbet because it naturally brings tartness, color, and structure. The main goal is to round out that tartness just enough that the scoop still feels refreshing rather than abrasive.
This kind of fruit sorbet works best when the mixture is smooth and intensely flavored before freezing. Weak fruit base leads to an icy result that tastes watered down once churned.
Because there is no dairy here, the texture relies on sugar balance and proper chilling. A small amount of syrup or sugar support helps the sorbet stay scoopable after freezing.
Serve it between heavier holiday dishes, with shortbread, or alongside citrus desserts. It is one of the most useful freezer flavors when you want something clean and sharp.
